GYMEA BAY

Set on a steep block in Gymea Bay, this project was all about creating usable outdoor space where there was very little to begin with. Life Outdoors designed and built a raised deck and covered entertaining area that extends the home outward and makes the most of the elevated outlook.
 

An insulated pergola provides year-round protection over the main dining and entertaining zone, while the expansive deck connects directly with the internal living areas to create a seamless indoor-outdoor flow. Frameless glass balustrades keep the space open to the surrounding views, while warm timber-look decking and vertical screening bring texture, privacy and a refined architectural finish.
 

The level changes across the site were carefully used to accommodate a circular pool at the front of the home, nestled into the deck rather than separated from it. Integrated steps, curved screening and detailed cladding tie the pool, deck and house together as one cohesive outdoor living space.

The result is a complete transformation of a challenging sloping site into a highly functional outdoor area for entertaining, relaxing and enjoying the outlook. A true Life Outdoors space designed to be used every day.
